Structure - Christine Lee

I could not go past the structure of an elbow after investigations and surgery in the last month.
This piece has been free motion machined over painted high loft batting, appliquéd painted, layered burnt, stitched, embroidered and beaded tyvek.

  3. That would have been no easy feat in the same month as elbow surgery! How are you now? Great mix of techniques.

  4. This makes me hurt...no, not your art work....just the thought of elbow surgery. Great detail. Structure beautifully interpreted.

  8. You take the phrase "nothing bad ever happens to an artist...it's all material" to a new level! Really well done, although I have to admit that I'm like the rest of us here...it is a piece that is hard to look at for long without thinking of how much you've been through. <3 Sending lots of healing thoughts!!!

  9. Could tell immediately that this was musculature and tendons. Very interesting concept and well represented. Hopefully you are on the mend.
