Structure - Chez Aitkin - "In Depth"
'In depth' is a quilt made up of 8 layers. The backing and wadding of course, and a layer of ivory silk, a layer of string like paper and silver thread and 4 layers of silk organza - crimson, brown, green and blue. The first four layers have been cut through to reveal an underlying structure of colour and texture.
I do like this and would love to see it in the 'flesh' so to speak. Great interpretation of the theme.
