Say it with a Smile!
When I thought about this topic, I smiled
After two years of
Covid Isolation, we need to Smile!
In a safer environment, vaccinations and masks have helped protected many from becoming ill! It is time to smile!
We can smile when we meet friends, smile when we are happy, smile when we welcome others into our lives!
Children understand the unique meaning and importance of a smile ! They read body language long before they learn to talk!
Methods I used:
Ice dyed background fabric. Free-hand
drawing of words and hearts by marking pen and stitching with shiny black
sparkle thread. Outlined ‘Smile’ with coarse embroidery black thread twisted
with bright metallic colours!
Let
the sunshine through!
This is such a happy quilt. Lovely bright colours and friendly letters!
ReplyDeleteI love this! A smile can change a persons life!!
ReplyDeleteI couldn’t go out shopping. Because of COVID yes, but more because of masks. Wearing one made me crabby and grouchy. And so so sad. I need smiles to power me and my days! Nice quilt!
ReplyDeleteJust smiling to people I meet on my walks often elicits a response. Such a powerful weapon we have in our cheeks!
ReplyDeleteThe power of a smile is huge and so needed in our world. The masks have been a much needed safety item for us all but I look forward to the day we can all show our smiles again (safely)
