Folklore - Lizz Ploppert

Folklore - Lizz Ploppert

Well, I finally have a quilt to post. Unfortunately, I had Folk "Art" in my head and
completely missed the "Lore" part. (It's been a really rough couple of months for me!)
But surely there's an animal folklore story out there somewhere!
I kept all my fabric in solid colors (another departure for me!) and thought the choice
gave the piece an Amish quality - which reads folk art to me!
I apologize for running late and will step up my time management.
I really like the tim-tex batting I use for these small pieces. You can wrestle them around
for quilting and iron them nice and flat for display, and they hold a firm shape so binding
can be sewn tight and even.
I have ideas flitting thru my head for "Kitsche" so I feel on an upward swing!

  3. It does have an Amish feel to it. I also kept mixing up folklore and folkart in my head too. I'll bet somewhere out there is a story that would fit this beautiful work of art. great use of color.
