With the help of fusible backing, some very green fabric, and star-filled back ground, I came up with my creation....ALIEN PHOTO BOMB!

Out Of This World - Jay - "Alien Photo Bomb"
When the theme "Out of This World" was first announced, the first thought that came to me was an alien. I have in my stash a bunch of metallic, glittery faibric which I used in another project so I'm thinking .....space ship/flying saucer! Now how do I get these two thoughts together on a 11" x 16" work of art???
Photo Bomb or Selfie? Either way it is fabulous - great colour and fabric choices.
ReplyDeleteFabulous Jay!
ReplyDeleteEverything works in this piece, great choice of background fabric, classic green alien, shiny spaceship, lovely composition. Great job.
Super cute! Love your little alien and his shiny ship!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetheart your alien is. Will give him a high five....I mean four.....when we meet.
ReplyDeleteYour alien is just the right colour and the background fabric makes a great sky. (did you over dye it?) I love the interpretation. No one would be confused on the theme.
ReplyDeleteI am working on a couple quilts for A Fly Me To The Moon project so had been on the lookout for stellar sky fabric and just happened on this in a little shop in Giddings, Texas so bought a bunch of it!
DeleteBrilliant idea putting him on the diagonal to make it more dynamic, great fabric choices and cropping too.
ReplyDeleteCute, cute, cute! How fun is this?!
ReplyDeleteHe'sADORABLE!!!! What a friendly alien!!
ReplyDeleteLove your background fabric and your friendly photobombing alien.
