| Today is reveal day for the Out Of This World challenge. I selected an alien as my subject and chose to stay away from the traditional green martian skin tone and blue Avatar skin. I am a fan of the Syfy TV show Face Off. Every season they do an alien challenge and I was inspired by the makeup done on this TV show. |

| What makes this woman an alien-the weird white skin tone, the pointy ears, the flat wide bridge of the nose and the orange/yellow eyes. I embellished the quilt with an earring from my jewelry stash, several variations of sliver glitter nail polish, rhinestones on the ears and the background, several sizes of clear/glitter buttons for alien "markings" and some fabric paint. |

ReplyDeleteI love that you used nail polish! I've never thought about that as an embellishment before. She is quite striking and honestly, would fit in pretty well on some of the major city streets I've visited. Your work on the eyes is particularly stunning.
