Out Of This World - Denise Griffiths - "Red Planet"

Out Of This World-  Denise Griffiths

                                 "RED PLANET"

This is my imaginary city on "Red Planet".

It is only a few Galaxies over from us, so any time you wish to travel there, my condo is second from the left. Oxygen is optional but advisable, as is full travel insurance.

I was stuck for an idea so went the clique way and did space. What if we could travel there, would there be flowers, sun reflecting houses, malformed gardens, silk roads.

It was a fun piece to make. Background is silk, frayed silk roads, and scrap wool flowers.

The ground the flowers are anchored in, is painted and blowtorched bubble wrap. lots of red and silver glittery thread.

Come travel with me.....

    1. If you go into Lincraft in CBD Melbourne, they have this fabric by the metre, evening dress fabric. When Robyn, Chris and I were down for AQC we bought some each.
