Flights of Fantasy - Fleur Maddern

For me 'Fantasy' is something that is in your head, your imagination.
So a 'Flight of Fantasy' would come out of one's head.

I have used all commercially printed fabrics, blue & beige cotton thread, variegated yellow/brown cotton thread, gold metallic thread and 'shrinky' fabric, cotton wadding and wool wadding to create my 'Flights of Fantasy' piece.

Close up showing the butterflies.
Each butterfly is attached to the quilt with a few stitches through the body
