Spring has sprung here in the southern hemisphere. Spring where I live means lots of luscious green and green is one of my favourite colours. My quilt started out as a sun print in a class I did sometime ago (I am continuing on with our last challenge of Re-use, Reduce, Recycle). Actually, the sun print I was doing for this challenge didn't work out too well so this was dragged out of the cupboard in desperation. The sun print was covered with a fine black tulle and then randomly quilted with various designs and variegated green thread. My original piece was larger than our required size so I simply resized it and finished it with a facing. Our property has a creek running through a rainforest and this is what it looks like.

Couldn't resist adding this picture. I usually pin my quilts to a canvas to photograph and this one I leant against the bathroom window. I love the reflection in the window behind the quilt. |
