After completing my quilt, I had to giggle at myself.....you see, I don't always follow the rules.
Monochromatic Defined: having or appearing to have only one color. Pretty simple, huh?
When I step back and look, really look, at my art quilt, I see that Papa Thread Person is in pink. No problem, except that perhaps we think pink when thinking of the feminine gender!
And Mama Thread Person is in blue. Again, a reversal of the sexes color.
And poor Baby Thread Person is in pink, blue and gold and with a face that tells me she could have been hatched from an egg. I finally gave up puzzling over this one and named it:
"Oh, Dear....Where did we go wrong?"
Rules or no rules, it's humor.
ReplyDeleteYes, Ineke, when all else fails, I remember to keep my sense of humor....otherwise, I'd never get an art quilt finished.
DeleteNice thinking outside the box.
ReplyDeleteNeroli, I'm not sure I think at all. At least some near me don't think I give serious thought to anything.
DeleteSometimes our creativity leads us outside the theme-love the humor and texture!!
ReplyDeleteThere is always that "bad child" but this time it worked out!!! HA. I love this. Whimsical!!! Clever!!!!
ReplyDeleteHmm! Different!
ReplyDeleteLOL!!! Love your 'smart' quilt!
ReplyDeleteI like how you think Marty. What a fun, whimsical quilt.
ReplyDeleteThis one was a fun quilt to make - taking threads and making "almost" people.
DeleteI smile every time I see this, thanks.
ReplyDeleteYou know, Sue, this one makes me smile too. I guess it's the rogue "bad child" as Robbie referred to when the threads were gonna misbehave, come what may.
