What Do You Want To Say? - Pamela Roberts - "See A Wish"
I recycled the dandelion T-shirt for my quilt and used a freezer paper technique to create my quote, which I had seen online somewhere with dandelion art. I also stitched some yarn down in the border.
Ever since I learned that the dandelion flowers are a great source of food for the early bee population, I let them bloom in my yard, and then try to nip off the seed heads before they scatter. So, I saw the weeds but also shifted my lens. And, of course I had to teach my granddaughter to blow them and make wishes. Such a pleasure to do it with her.

ReplyDeleteBrilliant. Weeds are just plants that are growing in the wrong place.
ReplyDeleteThank you and I love your words on weeds as well.
DeleteSome weeds are medicinal and actually good for you!!
ReplyDeleteYes, we get lots of medicines and supplements from flowers and weeds.
DeleteOooh! I love the saying! I’ve always wished on dandelions! Pretty pretty piece!
ReplyDeleteThank You Lizz.

ReplyDeleteGreat to know about the bees and dandelions. I will try to do the same with the seed heads.
ReplyDeleteA reminder of beautiful childhood memories -- dandelion wishing!
