Vision Board - Shyamala Rao - "I Wish"

Shyamala Rao -  'I Wish'

I am a person who converts images to quilts and as is the apt description of me more good at creating realistic quilts than imaginary. But here, I wanted to think out of the box idea and create an imaginary theme piece as a vision board.
But I don’t think I succeeded as my Vision Board is all about items that I really want to do or to imagine myself doing.

I painted the back ground  fabric using fabric paint  and created the news items by printing on fabric. These are a few of my targets which I visualize realizing in a few years time.

I  attached  the printed news item fabric by machine stitching to the hand painted completely finished board so that I can really use it as a board and change or add on more news to it.

  2. Maybe you are thinking too hard. Put this above your workspace and work on one part of it at a time.
Travel is a recurring theme here so maybe that is where you could start. You getting on train, plane, boat etc, with you arriving somewhere exotic. Realistic or abstract would make an interesting journey piece.

  4. Very cool to make this an ongoing vision board. You can remove what you have already accomplished and make room for new visions. the background color is great.
