My Favorite Book Is... - Jay
I have really struggled with getting this blog posted with pictures! I finally uploaded some pictures to Picasa because I couldn't seem to get them off my photos on my computer or iPad. As with several of you, I am an avid reader and to have to pick out just one book was really difficult. So I decided to go with a book that really had an impact on me. I started out by pulling every purple I had in my stash and then cutting the fabric into random strips. Then I began stitching them randomly together with one fabric being the background.

That is correct, Maam! I love Alice Walker's writing...the two black dots represent Celie and her sister..There is a scene in the movie where they are innocently playing in a field of flowers...you see just their heads.
