When I considered the theme, "uniform", zebra stripes came to mind, all different, but at the same time uniform. These zebras, to me, look like they are lined up in their "uniform" pyjamas!
The background fabric is layered and free-motion quilted. The zebras have been painted, quilted, padded then attached onto the background, they are quite rounded rumps!

I love those zebra bums!!! They're so cute! And the work on the background fabric is awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteUniformly fat and happy, I'll bet! Just the 'cat's meow'!
ReplyDeleteIn my family we always called it the 'Beinert butt' after a great grandmother who had a butt that would be envied in todays US culture. The other day I heard my beautiful slim granddaughter refer to her rear end as the Beinert butt! Love your butts!
ReplyDeleteLove your "Uniform" rendition! That must have taken a lot of planning and we execution! Great!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is great Dale, love the little bums, that is really thinking outside the box.
ReplyDeleteHow clever!!! They are adorable creatures!!! And I agree with Denise...you did "think outside the box"!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun and creative interpretation of the challenge.
ReplyDeleteLove the uniform of the zebra. I like that you gave each zebra a slightly different stance rather than all exactly the same. Love it.
