Snowflake Teaser - Robbie

Hey ladies!  I don't like making excuses so instead I'm just letting you all know that I may or may not get this challenge finished this month!  We adopted a rescue, 3 yr old, Bichon as a sister for Kalee.  I am currently working on starting our training for her (Gigi) as well as starting a refresher course online for Kalee.
I also have 3 projects that I'm working on for an upcoming exhibit opening in February 2016 that I need to have finished by December (we leave for Florida after Christmas).  I also have to create two more quilts to finish my commitment for that exhibit and haven't started those yet.

This will most likely be the first (and I hope only!!) challenge that I don't meet the date.  I will try but at this point I just don't know.  I just wanted to post and let 'ya all' know up front!

I have to set my priorities and my dogs come first, then the exhibit...last but NOT least, is our challenge!  BUT...you can see what I had started working on...and what I will continue to work on when possible!!!!  Can't wait to see all the pieces on July 31st!!!
I did a shibori fold that I hand dyed.   I'm hand stitching as well as I have other plans for some additional techniques'!!!

  1. Looks like a very promising (if not totally white) snowflake. As far as I'm concerned, no apology is required when there are dogs involved.

    1. Thanks, Marty! I don't like to commit to something and not 'do' what I committed to do....I haven't done any sewing the last 7 days!!! And don't see much getting done the next 7! YIKES!!!

    2. I'm so jealous you can adopt Bichons (let alone 3 year old ones over there).... on the other hand it's probably a good thing you can't over here or i'd have 5 :) I expect lots of photos on FB :)

  3. As I replied to Marty, I don't like committing to something and then not doing it! I am just so dang busy and yet don't feel like I've done anything except walk dogs, brush dogs, read our online training, do our 3 x's a day lessons! At least the house is clean! I do that inbetween lessons or while doing lessons! So funny!!!

  4. Robbie don't forget that as part of Gigi's training she needs to learn that, "Mummy sometimes spends lots of time doing strange things with bits of fun stuff like fabric & thread & other things and Kalee and I have to behave ourselves and not mess it up or interrupt mummy's work!"
