This did not turn out like I had envisioned. I'm not unhappy with it, just coming to terms with the finished piece. I had planned to do some of the beautiful henna drawing on the hands, but none of the mediums I tried worked with the sparkly gold fabric. I wound up using two layers of the gold to make the hands show up on the pieced red background. Still, it's sparkly and bright and I'm pleased with the beading on the bottom.
Love the beaded fringe! Very glitzy!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!!! I love everything about it!
ReplyDeleteI agree, it is perfect just as it is. I especially like the movement your background adds. Nice touch....all the reds pieced together.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great piece, Karen. Addition of beads & use of gold fabric is perfect!!
ReplyDeleteLove the background colours, fringe and ....... well I really like the whole piece. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI do like that style of background, very effective, and the beaded fringe. What sort of fabric is the gold? It would have been difficult to henna that gold fabric. Very very nice.
ReplyDeleteI love the entire piece!!! Beautiful!
