I really enjoyed working on this piece, I think it is a style I will be trying again.
My inspiration was a personal photo.
Outlining colors and shapes on my photo.
Mapping out the shapes I want to use on paper.
Paper with construction details
Color placements.
Pulled fabrics
Gray scale photo of pulled fabrics.
Because I was using what I had on hand for fabrics I found I had two fabrics that weren't just what I wanted, so I dyed them to a better color.

ReplyDeletewow.... that pattern making reminds me of the patterns by Ruth McDonnell. I once made some of her flowers with miniscule pieces and decided to enlarge it to 300% for the second time I made one of her patterns. Great job
