The Eyes Have It - Christine Lee
I started with a hand dyed piece of fabric, then layered different fabrics, appliquéd the ship and eye, a little more layering and machined thread stitched.
The celestial "eye" always giving vision to the evening wayfarer!! Beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteChristine, lovely piece. This really has movement. Really takes you to another place.
ReplyDeleteA very clever use of fabrics and lovely design.
ReplyDeleteReally a cool piece!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the eye of a hurricane bearing down on the sailors. I love the beam of light. Your piece tells a whole story.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors!
ReplyDeletevery interesting and fine quilt!
ReplyDeleteLove the 'light'. How did u create that effect?
ReplyDeleteLovely, nicely shows how small ships are in the expanse of water and sky
ReplyDeleteI like the way you have done the quilting, and you tell a story very visually.
