I have always had a thing for Wizards, fairies and unicorns.
In the past I collect figurines of faiaries and wizards.
For this challenge I used a piece of dyed silk, done for me by my son when he studied Textiles at University.
It is a large piece of silk with graduations of blue, dark through to sky blue and pataches of white.
Background dyed silk. raw edge applique wizards, castle stars and unicorn and a shower of stars. Enhanced with silver Lumiere paints, silver metallic thread used as highlight.
The quilt is faced as not to detract from the image.

Very whimsical, I feel the quilt could have Come straight from a child's fairytale book. I like the dyed fabric too.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt and i agree would grace any childrens tale. Lovely fabrics and colours too.
ReplyDeleteLucky you to have such beautiful hand-made fabric to play on! Keep hearing Gandalf's voice in my head! (and I still have my childhood unicorn collection)
