My Favourite Book Is... - Allison Haggarty - "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"

I've read lots of memorable books so it was hard to pick just one favourite.  But I've reread The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy many times since it first came out so it has to be high on my list.  I love the combination of science fiction and  Monty-Pythonish British humour.
Anyone who's read the book will pick up the references.....
I drew the Guide as an ebook, of course with "Don't Panic" in friendly letters on the front. Pink is a friendly colour according to my daughter :)  The screen shows the answer to the Ultimate Question while the Question itself is across the bottom.  A bablefish is ready for a waiting ear.  And it's all appliqued onto a piece of towel - because every hitchhiker should have their towel along.  The applique pieces were drawn on my computer and then printed out onto fabric.
There was some discussion about using quotes in our pieces due to copywrite restrictions.  So after much angst I got up the courage to write to the publishers.  I explained what I wanted to do and asked for permission to use a quote.  They kindly agreed!
So, without further delay here is my Acknowledgement (also on the back of the quilt):
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams,  copywrite 1979. Reprinted by kind permission of the Estate of Douglas Adams.
