Texture - It's been very rainy this month in Northern GA. So I chose a watery background.
Added some produce mesh I've been saving and "trinkets" from the oceans depths. (I know I should have done so much more - just one of those awful months - sorry)
I did enjoy adding ball chain around the edges - I do like an odd ball binding!
Lizz Ploppert - Ellijay, GA

This is still pretty cool!! I hope everyone clicks on the picture to see it up close!!! nicely done!
ReplyDeleteSometimes less is more Lizz. I think this is just right the way it is. Such a bright little quilt to brighten up rainy days. Its simple, its quirky, its cheerful and it is one of my favourites
ReplyDeleteI had to smile when I saw this (as I have some of those same little metal pieces from some older jewelry that I've been keeping for gosh knows how long) I've always thought I'd find a place for them in an art quilt...I'm so glad that you were clever enough to do it! Love the colors and thought behind this piece and I really like the addition to the edges too.
ReplyDeleteGreat little quilt Lizz.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting edge, must try that one day. (Thanks for the idea)
Think I still have some of that fabric in the shop too.
Great use of found pieces, it is a happy quilt even if it is raining.
