Texture - Jay
Sorry to be so late in posting...it has just been one of those crazy times! But here it is....Texture! I wanted to show an old barn door, weathered, splitting and peeling paint so the first thing I did was to select several shades of red. Then using a technique from the mixed media artist, Beryl Taylor, I layered, sewed and cut my barn door.

What a great idea for your inspiration! I would love to see this photo closer...could you make it larger so we can see more of your work? :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Monique...I actually had a hard time even posting the picture, but I will try! I think you should be able to tap/ click on it to enlarge though.
ReplyDeleteThis is great Jay. Nice composition and lots of texture. Old doors are fascinating aren't they.
