I am disappointed with my photo of this piece. The snowflake itself is made from a white glittery fabric but you can't see the sparkles, the background is blue satin. It has been pouring with rain and I haven't been able to get outside to take a decent picture.
I found the image online and have elongated the snowflake to fit the A3 size. I used fusible to attach the snowflake to the background and then stitched around the edges using satin stitch.
My snowflake has already found a new home.
Wow, that was quick. Well snowflakes dont last long do they. Its a lovely quilt.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt showcases the symmetry of a snowflake very nicely.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! And how wonderful that it already has a new home too!
ReplyDeleteA lovely graphic quilt. It IS difficult to photograph white on white.
ReplyDeleteWow , it's like a celtic knot snowflake! Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove the simplicity of this. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNow this is a snowflake I was hoping someone would come up with. Just sparkles in my mind. beautiful piece
ReplyDeleteWell Done!
ReplyDeleteLove the shiny-ness of the glitter and satin.
Good idea to elongate it to fill the space better.
