Snowflake - Janet Hartje - "Blizzard"

I only joined this group two days ago but when I saw the challenge, I had to join in immediately.  I have always lived where blizzards happen.  I had to make each snowflake unique as we all know, no two snowflakes are alike.

One is Angelina film, one is Angelina fiber, one is couched embroidery floss and one is narrow ribbon sewn on with a decorative stitch.

The others were purchased who knows when but I found them as I was looking for ideas for this quilt.  In a blizzard it sometimes feels as though the wind is coming from ten directions at once, I tried to recreate this effect with my quilting.

I also added a decorative stitch to the binding, I've never done that before but it looked a little like a snowflake to me so it seemed fitting.
