For fabric I pulled cool icy fabrics from my stash including a blue and a white hand dyed velvet. I used the velvets for the winter coat. I found the two "disco ball" silver shimmery fabrics which I used for the hair. The skin was a white batik.
I printed two sizes of a simple snowflake on foundation paper and placed them on the chest, chin and cheekbones with pins. I stitched the design in place and removed the foundation paper. I selected a iridescent sequin and a bead for in the center of the snowflake on the chest. All the stitched snowflakes had iridescent nail polish painted on them for emphasis.
