Here is my Monochromatic Challenge quilt. I have made several monochromatic quilts because I am fascinated with value and teach the subject to quilt guilds etc. I have made them in pink, red, blue, brown, green and yellow. I chose orange because I hadn't gone done that road before and with fall and Halloween in the future. I am influenced by the 1960s and this is a go-go dancer with the fringy trim on the bottom of the quilt similar to a dancer's dress. I used commercial batiks and cottons except for the hand dyed velvet on the dress collar edge.
I embellished with rhinestones, sequins, sead beads, glitter glue, glitter nail polishfabric paint and the large sequin trim.
Laurie, I love it! Especially the fringe at the bottom and the background fabric and everything else!!! :)
