Well here is my stellar a nebula printed on evolon this is very soft and easy to work with.
I put it on purple velvet and angelina than the free motion embroidery .
I mounted it on black felt , the edges were punched with the punch machine to give it a soft look, there are also some beads but you can not see this very good.
the quilt is 30 cm- 35 cm
Emmy I really like your piece. Especially the middle of the nebula. The red stitches make it more interesting to look at. And I like the soft look of the wool.
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I love the circular motion from the center outwards. And the softness of the angelina all around that frames the center focal point. The gold and turquoise and purple are all wonderfully blending together. This has a good feel to it framed nicely with the black border.
ReplyDeleteI love this piece and the complex nature of a nebula really shines through. The purples and blues are set well on the black background. So much work involved..
ReplyDeleteEvolon?? what is this?? More explanation needed.

ReplyDeleteI love the contrast of colours, textures and surfaces on this - it is luscious!
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt - the angelina fibres give a real floating feeling to the nebula, well done!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful - you have really captured an ethereal, gaseous quality. I will add my query to the rest - what is evolon?
