I joined the masses of being sick a couple of weeks ago and then went to a quilting retreat last week with 18 others....had a blast....four days of quilting heaven with someone else making the bed and doing the cooking and cleaning.
Next week I will be in Austin at Quilt Con. Excited to be a part of it, but by the time I get back, there will only be three days until March 1. If memory serves me correctly (which it doesn't always), I have to have Challenge No. 2 ready, pictured and posted. No, I don't like to wait until the last minute. What if the car breaks down or the cat gets sick, or company drops in and decides to stay for three weeks. My decision was made....today was the day to get it down.
While I had a few ideas, I had not committed anything to fabric - until this afternoon. Here is just a fragment of my imagination:
Yep....that's all you're gonna get! I will tell you that this little sliver of a picture is showing three of the fabrics I used for the carnival theme art quilt. Yep, my mouth is sealed. That's all you're gonna get.
Yep, my challenge is finished and I'm humming a happy tune.

Yikes! I thought the challenge wasn't due until March 31st!! You are WAY ahead!

ReplyDeleteBoy...did you give me a scare!! Then I checked out the side bar...and saw the date is March 31st!!!! I have not gotten beyond the idea in my head and a rough sketch in my journal!!! Whew! But...congratulations! YOU can sit back and relax while I will probably be panicing in about four weeks!!!!
