Challenge #1 Self Portrait

Well, I am moved in to our new (111 year old house) and am finally able to post my quilt challenge here at a local coffee shop.  Hope you don't kick me out for being late!!

The inspiration was a photo I had to take for a photography class. It is an introspective self portrait shot which fits in with my current state of life. New state, new house, new business, new life!  My silver cross is important to me as my faith has led me to this place (including this Blog group).  Cheers! Karen

  8. A nicely balanced piece Karen. I love the two blues with red stitching and the contrast in colour of the doily and photograph. Enjoy your new life, lots of changes all at once.

  9. You've placed your elements perfectly and I love the pop of the red thread. Beautiful job...and I don't mind that you're late. :)

  10. The red thread is such an unexpected element, and it gives nice movement to the piece, the balance the introspection. Really like this!
